What is PSL?
PSL is an informal 1 to 8 rating scale used in looksmaxxing communities. A rating of around 4 is usually described as average, with higher numbers considered more attractive. The scale has no official definition, and different communities use it differently.
Why a PSL calculator number is hard to trust
- It is subjective. Most PSL ratings come from forum members voting on a photo.
- It depends on the photo. Lighting, lens distortion, angle and expression can move a rating a lot.
- It does not say what to do. A 4.5 tells you nothing about whether to work on skin, jawline or leanness.
- It is hard to track. Two different raters on two different days give two different numbers.
