What is looksmaxxing?
Looksmaxxing is the practice of improving your appearance on purpose. In its simplest form (often called softmaxxing) that means skincare, grooming, haircuts, staying lean, sleeping well, posture and style. A more extreme end (hardmaxxing) involves medical or surgical procedures. Hexum is built for the first group: non-invasive, habit-based improvement.
The problem most people hit is not motivation, it is guesswork. Without a measurement, it is hard to know whether your jawline, skin, symmetry or leanness is the thing holding you back, so you end up trying everything.
What a good looksmaxxing app should do
- Measure objectively. Numbers from your actual face, not a vague opinion.
- Prioritize. Tell you which area gives the biggest gain first.
- Give a routine. Turn the results into specific daily tasks.
- Track change. Let you rescan and see if it is working.
How Hexum works
- Scan. Take one front-facing photo in even light. Hexum maps 247 facial landmarks.
- Measure. You get 34 scored metrics, an overall rating and a percentile. Your strongest area and your biggest possible gain are highlighted.
- Improve. A personalized daily protocol (Foundation, Activation, Refinement, about 38 minutes a day) targets your weakest areas. Rescan to see what changed.
Scores are cross-referenced against 40+ peer-reviewed studies in craniofacial proportion and aesthetic symmetry. Across Hexum users, the average Overall Score improves by 35% from first scan to week 6.1
1 Average change in Hexum Overall Score, first scan to week 6. Based on Hexum’s own user data; not a published study.
What Hexum measures
Facial symmetry, jawline definition, skin quality, facial thirds, canthal tilt, facial harmony and more. See our guides on canthal tilt and jawline analysis for how two of the most searched metrics work.
Who it is for, and who it is not for
Hexum suits people who like data and want a structured routine: skincare and grooming enthusiasts, people losing weight who want to see the effect on their face, and anyone tired of random advice. It is not a medical tool, it does not diagnose anything, and scores are AI estimates from a single photo, so lighting and angle matter.
